Drainage in Bolton Point
Hydro Jetting Bolton Point
A drain that only half-works is the job hydro jetting exists for. We run high-pressure jetting gear across Bolton Point and the suburbs either side, clearing lines properly instead of poking a hole through the problem.
It sits inside our wider drainage work, alongside blocked drain clearing, sewer and stormwater jobs. Same truck, same $0 call out, same quote before any work starts.
Why a jet beats a snake on most lines
A snake gets water moving, but it leaves most of the choke behind.
The jet does it differently. A jetting nozzle pushes high-pressure water backwards along the pipe, scouring the whole wall as it travels, so what comes out is a clean pipe rather than a hole through the mess.
That matters on older lines especially. Mid-century clay collects scale, silt and grease on its walls in a way PVC never quite does.
Clear the wall and the line holds its full diameter. Clear just the middle and you're booking the same job again in a season.
Where jetting earns its keep around the peninsula
Four problems turn up here again and again, and all four answer to a proper scour rather than a quick cut:
Clay joints that catch everything
Roots in the estate junctions
Grease narrowing kitchen runs
Silt washed in off the ridge
When we reach for the jetter
Not every job needs it. A single tissue choke near the pan is a five-minute fix. The jetter comes out when the line itself is the problem.
Sluggish drainage near the waterfront
The drain that keeps coming back
Before you renovate or buy
Gurgles and smells without a blockage
Camera first, jet second, camera to prove it
The jetting and the camera gear work as a pair. You can read how the inspection side runs on our CCTV drain inspections page, but the short version:
Find it
Clear it
Prove it
Plan ahead
That last step matters here, because reactive clay over shale shifts with the seasons and nudges pipe joints out of line, and the fibro-era cottages along the waterfront sit on the oldest runs of all. Jetting clears what's in the pipe; the camera tells you whether the pipe itself is due for a bigger conversation.

Hydro jetting questions we hear
What's the difference between jetting and a drain snake?
A snake cuts a hole through the choke so water moves again. Jetting scours the whole pipe wall clean, stripping grease, roots and silt off so the line drains properly.
Will high-pressure water damage old clay pipes?
No, when it's done properly. Nozzle and pressure get matched to the pipe's age and material, and clay runs are scoured along their length rather than hammered at one spot.
Do you camera the line before or after jetting?
Both, when the job warrants it. The camera shows where the line is choked and why, and a second pass afterwards confirms the pipe wall came out clean along the run.
Can you jet stormwater lines as well as sewer?
Yes. Ridge runoff carries grit into the stormwater pipes and pits on the lower streets here, and the same high-pressure gear clears both, though the access point and outlet differ.
Do you jet drains in Fennell Bay and Woodrising?
We do. Both are on the regular run, and the jetting gear travels with us whether the job is across the bay in Fennell Bay or through Enterprise Way to Woodrising.
How much does hydro jetting cost?
You get the price before anything starts. The $0 call out covers coming out, and the quote depends on what the line turns out to hold. Approve it or we leave.
